Inspired Restoration by a Master Shipwright
Rarely does one have the opportunity to become custodian of a true classic workboat conversion of this caliber. “Halcyon” was purpose-designed as a working salmon troller in 1948 by naval architect Bill Garden and fished the Pacific Coast for over 20 years. In 1984 master shipwright Sam Fry acquired her and spent 10 years converting her into a comfortable and seaworthy cruising troller.
The original interior, decks and houses were removed down to the frames and planks and so began the project. The forepeak and wheelhouse were recreated following Garden’s original design. The fish hold and working deck were converted to a single aft cabin, following the shearline of the original hull and houses the galley, vanity/shower and settee. The warm interior is handcrafted in madrona, yellow and red cedar and fir, accented with bronze and brass hardware throughout. Whether docked or at anchor, the award-winning “Halcyon” is sure to turn heads. Call today to schedule a viewing of this beautiful vessel.
