Hampton 740 Pilothouse

Hampton 740 Pilothouse

The flagship of the fleet.

The 740 Yacht Fisher is the flagship of the Hampton fleet, the largest and most luxurious of the Hampton line. And although it is delivered with a surprisingly long list of standard features (many of which our competitors consider options), our team of interior designers is ready to tailor a Hampton 740 to your exact specifications. We encourage every new Hampton owner to be a part of the process. By combining your impeccable taste with our attention to detail and elegant styling, we will ensure your complete satisfaction.

Let’s start at the top – The Skylounge.

The first thing you’ll notice about the 740 is the spacious Skylounge. The Skylounge layout features a fully enclosed helm station with complete engine instrumentation, custom steering wheel and two Pompanette helm chairs. For the comfort of guests, the Skylounge also boasts a sumptuous, L-shaped settee with leather upholstery, a large coffee table with burl wood top, a wet bar with icemaker, a 32” LCD TV with surround sound system, and a DVD/CD player. For your guests’ convenience an interior stairway takes them down to the Galley and dining area.

The rod and fun club – The Fishing Cockpit

Aft, the Main deck greets guests with hand laid teak flooring on the extended fishing cockpit and swim platform. Watersports enthusiasts will appreciate the two live tanks, fishing rod storage cabinets and roomy lazarrette for diving equipment . The hot and cold shower unit is conveniently located on the swim platform. A cockpit engine control station is also at hand with bow and stern thruster controls. The crew quarters and engine room can be accessed from the fishing cockpit via a watertight door.

The ultimate in appointments – The Salon

Entering the Salon, Hampton trademark touches abound. From t he plush feel of the padded carpet underfoot, to the superbly matched grains of the high gloss cherry wood (Makore) carpentry, no expense is spared. The Salon also boasts luxurious leather upholstery throughout, and a redwood burl table with a matching overhead decorative ceiling treatment. In the evening, you can relax in front of the granite trimmed Simplex fireplace, or entertain guests with the 37” LCD TV, Bose surround sound system, and DVD/CD player. The handcrafted entertainment cabinet also features an electric lift that allows the TV to be hidden behind a piece of your favorite artwork.

A gourmand’s delight – The Galley and Dining area

Up a few steps and you will find yourself in the spacious and sumptuously appointed Galley and Dining area. The superb skills of our craftspeople and interior designers are in evidence in the high gloss cherry (Makore) interior with redwood burl inlays , hardwood floors and beautiful detail work. The Corian counter areas and large sink are a gourmand’s delight. The Galley features an innovative array of premium GE appliances, including cook-top and Advantium oven/microwave , refrigerator/freezer with ice and water dispenser , dishwasher, garbage disposal and trash compactor . And while the chef prepares the next repast, guests can relax on an opulent leather upholstered couch that wraps around the large u-shaped, burl wood table with electric height adjustment. They can also enjoy the view of the world ahead through the 180° wraparound frameless, vista windows.

Suite dreams – The Staterooms

Accessed from the Dining area, even the stairways to the 740’s four Stateroom/four Head layout are beautifully appointed. Overhead halogen and rope lighting highlight the handcrafted railing and ceiling treatments as you enter the lower deck area.

The Master Stateroom offers all the comforts of the ultimate home-away-from-home including a truly regal King size bed with spacious drawers and storage. Overhead, you will admire a handcrafted redwood burl ceiling treatment. Other luxurious amenities include built-in upholstered seating, hand-fitted bureau and vanity cabinets and spacious Cedar lined hanging lockers. Your personal entertainment system consists of a 20” LCD TV with DVD/CD and the highly acclaimed Bose surround sound system. The Master Head can feature either a molded one-piece fiberglass shower stall or a whirlpool tub to soak away the cares of the day. Other upscale amenities include a Tecma quiet flush toilet, Corian counter tops and flooring, and Grohe faucets.

The forward VIP Stateroom is resplendent too with an island Queen size berth that has cleverly designed drawers and lockers tucked underneath. And there’s plenty more storage space in the Cedar-lined hanging lockers. Your special guests will also appreciate the built-in 20” LCD TV and AM/FM CD player. THE VIP Head offers premium appointments such as a Tecma quiet flush toilet, molded fiberglass stall shower, Corian counter tops and flooring and Grohe faucets.

Across the foyer, the Mid Guest Stateroom and Head offer the same tasteful appointments surrounding upper and lower berth bunks, a 15” built-in LCD TV and an AM/FM Radio and CD player.

The Crew’s quarters are aft and can be reached via the stairwell from the Salon or from the transom, which has a watertight aircraft style door. The Crew’s quarters feature double bunk berths with premium mattresses, lots of storage, and a separate head and shower room. A workbench and washer/dryer are also located here.

The power to move you – The Engine

The 740 has power to spare in every area. T win 1000 HP CAT C-1 8 engines with the CAT electronic control package help deliver the ultimate in marine-performance. A side power 16 HP bow thruster is a must for maneuverability. Providing power is a Kohler 28 KW generator as well as a second 13KW generator for reduced load situations. Every space aboard the 740 has been thoroughly thought through and the Engine room is no exception. No crawling or crouching is necessary thanks to the 6′ 3” headroom. All mechanical components, maintenance areas and filters are easily accessible. You will find that the wiring system complies with ABYC standards with proper numbering at termination points and routing of all circuits. Similarly, the yacht’s plumbing systems are well designed with every pipe and valve clearly labeled.

Smooth sailing – The Hull

The Hull is hand-laid, one-piece fiberglass that features three outer layers of vinylester resin to prevent blisters and a Kevlar collision zoned bottom. Above the waterline the 740 is cored with high strength “Divinycell” using “Vacuum bag” construction for maximum strength to weight ratio. The sharply V’d forward hull sections and the standard Wesmar RS600 Stabilizer give the 740 a soft, dry and comfortable ride, while the flattened lines aft provide superior fuel economy. Propeller tunnels are used to level the engines, add directional stability, and allow for shallow water adventuring.
